Baz Bus
Designed for the independent traveller, Baz Bus is a fantastic way to explore South Africa. Baz Bus offers independent travellers and backpackers the opportunity to explore the most beautiful towns and cities in South Africa.
All you need is one ticket to your final destination and you can hop on and off as often as you like along the route. We drop you off and pick you up from your backpacking hostel or lodge!
There is an amazing variety of backpacker hostels and budget accommodation offered in South Africa and Baz Bus will drop you off at over 200 of them.
Baz Bus is for all backpackers and the young at heart. We strive to be an enjoyable and friendly bus company where you can meet great people on the buses and still have the independence to do whatever activities you wish to along the route.

Using the existing Bus Baz network, upgrade your Baz Bus ticket to a Flexi-Tour Adventure. Designed for the independent travelers, a Flexi-Tour Adventure includes a Baz Bus ticket, a selection of 'must do' interactive cultural day tours and a once in a life time African Safari. It allows you to experience the highlights of South Africa, whilst still giving you the flexibility of choosing where you want to travel, where you want to say and how long you want to travel for. Wildlife Safari
Experience game viewing and bird watching at its best. It is one of the few places on earth where wildlife can be seen in such great variety and at such close quarters. The park is densely populated by some 520 bird, 114 reptile and 146 mammal species . The tour also covers the picturesque Mpumalanga area.
The game drives allow excellent photographic opportunities. Spot the BIG 5 (Lion, Rhino, Leopard, Elephant and Buffalo). At night relax around the fire and take in the African vibe.

Walking Safari - R700 extra
Why not exchange your Wildlife Safari for an exclusive WALKING safari? (Max. 8 per tour); combining walking trails with open vehicle game drives. Learn to identify and age animal tracks and even follow the spoor. The area of walking trail is excellent for viewing of the BIG5.
Includes: all meals, 5 trails, 1 night drive, and accommodation in large twin bedded safari tent. R150 Conservation Fee payable on arrival in the Kruger Park.

Swaziland Highlights
Experience the Royal Kingdom of Swaziland, rich in culture and tradition. Visit the craft markets, Boabab batiques, Swazi candles and a traditional Swazi village. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Matenga Falls.

Face to Face with the Zulu people
The day is as flexible as the people you meet. Walk through the Zulu village in the Valley of 1000 hills meeting the locals and admiring the African Huts. A sangoma (witchdoctor) will explain ways of healing while a community guide tells of traditional ways. Finally enjoy a Zulu meal whilst the children prepare to dance. * Can be exchanged for a Durban City Explorer.

Township Tour
This half day tour takes you into the township of Port Elizabeth. Qualified local guides will be with you explaining the social history, the harsh reality of our Apartheid past and the great successes of the present. Meet talented township artists at work, visit a community-run school or a shebeen (township version of the local pub in the heart of the shanty town).

Cape Peninsula Tour
This is a really fun way to see the Cape Peninsula. Enjoy guided commentary, fabulous scenic cycling and easy hiking. Cruise through Camps Bay beach surrounded by the 12 Apostles. Visit the harbour of Hout Bay for a 'wake-up' snack (option Seal Island trip-definitely recommended), the Penguins at Simon's Town and end up at Cape Point for your exhilarating cycle. Enjoy a delicious picnic alongside the ocean and a leisurely stroll to the South-Western most point of Africa.
